My message to all....don't put off your mammogram -it hurts so good!

My message to all....don't put off your mammogram -it hurts so good!

I hope this blog serves as a message board -that early detection is the hope for your future. Pull up your big girl panties - and get your girls checked out. Make an appointment today-(you know who you are).

I also want to document my "Journey on the Pink Brick Road" - because I don't want to forget a minute of it (I think) and I have heard from others that "Chemo Brain" or "Monkey Brain" is the result of the medication that is used to shrink my tumor. I have seen this already - so it will help me to remember where I parked my car yesterday and why was I even parking "there".

So hold my hand and I will hold yours on my journey on the Pink Brick Road (this definitely doesn't look like Kansas)!

Prayer request for Andrew Hale

At the trauma intermediate care unit at St. Johns with Andrew Hale. He is stable and recovering from a surgery that was a result of an ATV accident. He was taken by helicopter last night to the ER.  We will be here for a few days. Thanking God for him every minute.

NOTE: This is my friend ReRe's son-in-law.  We were just leaving their house playing a fun card game called "GOLF" when this accident must have occurred. ReRe and Mike got a call after midnight - and headed to the hospital.   Once again I am reminded that every minute of every day is a gift!  Andrew will need several more surgeries on his left arm.

Prayers for your complete recovery, Andrew!  (1st wedding anniversary will be on October 30th)

  1. Note from Maggie Noelke Hale
Great News....Andrew Hale is out of surgery and in recovery. Can't wait to see him! They did not have to do a skin graft on his hand because they were able to salvage some of the original skin...sorry I know that is gross. We are feeling confident with his recovery so far!!!!
